Advertisement Concepts
The following advertisements are mock ups from my strategic writing class at the University of Missouri. All of the designs are my best attempt at visualizing my ideas without an art director.
Reynolds Wrap: The Art of Cooking
Reynolds Wrap is a household item that allows the average person to make creations with an often overlooked medium of art: food. Through these three print advertisements I aimed to capture how Reynolds Wrap is a tool for the everyday artist to help make delicious art.
Zagnut: The Super Nut Bar
The Zagnut bar is a somewhat unknown candy bar. Its zany wrapper is enticing but once its unwrapped… it looks bland and disappointing. Once you take a bite you realize you’ve misjudged it completely. A toasted coconut exterior and delicious peanut brittle center light up your mouth. The bold red wrapper is perfect for the blast of flavor it brings to your taste buds. In the following three print advertisements, I aimed to capture how a bar made with simple ingredients can turn out to be the unexpected hero.
Jiffy Lube: Like It Never Even Happened
Jiffy Lube is there for whatever their customers need in a fast, affordable manner. By showing a perfectly fine car accompanied by copy detailing the state of the car before it came into Jiffy Lube, I aimed to embody the often droll reasons cars need repair and the relief felt when your car is quickly returned after being in good hands.
Showtime: Meet and Greet
Showtime offers a variety of original shows that have a large following. I decided these shows are what the focus of the ads need to be since the new seasons can’t be watched anywhere else. The ads are set up to introduce themselves (via their main character) in a way that gives a hint of the plot to draw in new viewers.
Note: A similar ad for AT&T TV has been on air in 2020, however this concept was created in Spring 2019.
